The pressurisation of stairwells is an increasingly common method of ensuring safe means of exit from a building on fire. Pressure control must be in place to maintain minimum and maximum stairwell pressures within agreed parameters. BS EN 12101-6:2005 (replacing BS 5588-4:1998) requires pressurised fire escapes to be maintained at 50 Pa and limited to a maximum of 60 Pa. Apreco’s extensive range of standard air pressure relief vents (dampers) are characterised by ease of installation.

A variety of bespoke external solutions are also available, including weather protection using fixed low loss louvres and penthouse louvre assemblies. Bespoke designs can handle all flow/pressure requirements in pressurised stairwells built to BS EN 12101-6:2005 (replacing BS 5588- 4:1998).

The PRV Vents can also be adapted for use where there is a requirement for pressure relief venting in industrial applications.  The PRV vents have been used in applications for the Defence Industry in combination with security louvres.

Cover Grille

Cover Grille The Cover Grille(s) can be fitted directly to both to the PRV Vent and Wall Liner through the provided fixing holes. This helps to protect and hide the PRV Vent while not impeding on the Free Vent Area.

Extension Sleeve

Ext SleeveThe Extension Sleeve allows the PRV Vent to be installed in walls deeper then 180mm (External 200mm). Each Sleeve increases the depth of the installation by upto a maximum of 75mm.
The Sleeve simply clips onto the back of the Wall Liner or Weather Louvre allowing for easy installation.

C-Frame Kit

C-frameThe C-Frame Kit allows the PRV Vent to be installed in narrow walls less then 100mm (External 180mm). Each C-Frame Kit decreases the wall depth requirement of the installation by 110mm.

Security Grilles

C-frameThe SGL & SGM range of security grilles are designed to offer a light to medium security deterrent where Apreco Fire suppression vents and pressure relief vents could become subject to such environments.
The SGL & SGM are factory fitted to the wall liner prior to dispatch using Steel Self piecing rivets to form a series of solid mechanical joints between the two items to aid security.
The SGL & SGM are designed to also ensure the same market leading FVA is achieved as the Apreco vent its coupled to.
